1. What is Hardata hdxVideo?
It is a complete administration system of audio-visual materials. Based on Hardata hdxServer technology, which provides to you a sure and flexible platform from which you can easily administrate the access and the destiny of the contents.
With its modules of Emission with the one that Manages the emission continuing the before elaborated guideline. This controls the multiple connected devices, automating of this form the Air list.
With other modules of production, that allows the ingest and cataloguing of the material, you will be able to handle and to control easily an automatic emission of different videos.

2. Which video qualities can be used with Hardata hdxVideo?
This depends on the device that is controlled. Hardata hdxVideo works with professional video servers (GVG/Thomson, Leitch, 360 Systems, etc.) or videocards in PC (Harmony).
It controls peripheral as VTRs, counterfoils of video, logo generator, among others.
It supports formats of high resolution in DV and Mpeg2 with versions proxy of low resolution in Mpeg4.

3. Which are the different versions of Hardata hdxVideo and which are de differences between them?
The versions are hdxVideo Pro, Office and Exchange.
Pro version: This is a high scale version, which allows to control up to two independent video signals, both in the processes of ingestion and emission, and a variety of hardware and devices. (The number of signals can be extended if needed).
Office version: This version allows to create the programming or Air list for each station. You can also administrate and catalog the materials.
Exchange version: This version its principal mission is it of administering the traffic of materials (videos) between different sources and devices, for example to import videos from nonlinear editors to the system or to upload the materials to the video server that will be managed in the emission.

4. Minimal system requirements
An optimal configuration can be:
Intel Pentium IV 3.0 GHz
512 Mb RAM
HD 80 GB SATA
32 MB not integrated graphic card (supporting 1024x768)
52x CD-ROM
Professional soundcard (Antex, AudioScience or Digigram)
Windows 2000 or Windows XP
SVGA 17" monitor
Keyboard and mouse.
More cards or hardware
In case of external hardware handles by 422 protocol, it is necessary to install in the PC cards of managing 422 port (Ej: Moxa, etc).
In case of controlling more than one video card you can use other as Harmony.
Note: This information is like a general example, since the requirement goes to turn affected not so much for the software, but for the quantity and complexity of hardware to handling or controlling.
(For example: if you use an internal video card for video capturing, you must consider the requirements of that hardware).

5. What database manager does hdxVideo use?
It uses Microsoft SQL Server 2000 but it can be easily adapted to other database engines.

6. Is it necessary to install MS SQL Server 2000, hdxServer and hdxVideo all in one PC?
Not necessarily. The three programs can be installed and executed separately; they interact through the network (always placing correctly the access route to the database, materials, audios, videos, etc.).

7. Software protection licenses
The software relies on a hardware protection keys that they install in the PC by a USB or a standard LPT port connection.
Each PC assigned to executing an hdxVideo must have a license that enables its use.
Besides the "hdxServer" that is sold with the hdx Video has a license that enables to support up to 5 simultaneous connections with the clients applications.
For example if we open a hdxVideo in a PC and we authenticate to the hdxServer, and at the same time we connect with one of the administrative server applications (for example, to see the emitted list or checking the use levels of the server) we would be consuming 2 simultaneous server connections.
