Press in the Configuration option of Audys's buttons bar. Hereby a menu will spread out, choose Audio editors.

From here you will be able to form one or more audio editors to be used in the digital edition of audio material. Touch the button Add.

First define the name of the editor that you will use (example: My Editor).

Then designate the location where the audio editor is installed, for example if the editor is the Sound Forge 4.5 and is installed in the route C:\ Program files \Sound Forge 4.5 and the executable feasible were Forge32.exe then the route that it should place would remain shaped of the following way: C:\Program files\Sound Forge 4.5\Forge32.exe.

Do click in the button "..." you can look for the executable one of the audio editor installed exploring the directories system. Once done the selection do click in Agreeing.

Finally label the corresponding cabin with the characteristics of your publisher editor to edit titles with “PCM, IMA ADPCM, MPEG Layer 3 “or " MPEG Layer 2 "audio quality. Generally both boxes are checked.

Finally open a Production window of, go to Menu, Properties of Audio. Here unfolding the list that appears in IMAADPCM Editor Format and select the editor formed before to be able to edit titles in PCM, IMA ADPC or MPEG Layer 3 quality. In the current window you can form an editor which when you wish and from the same window that you form it, will be able by pressing in editing audio, the editor will be opened by the audio to edit. Then do the same thing with the list that appears in MPEG Editor Format to select the editor you want to use in the current window to edit titles in MPEG II quality; the editor is selected individually for each window and by the quality that the editor supports.

Note: The configuration of the last three steps must be realized in each created operator and in each instance of Titles and Production window that is in use (for example for Titles1, Titles 2, Production 1, Production 2, Production 3, etc.).

Inicio

The steps to continuing are: Close the Audys and to go to the BEGINNING menu of the Windows tasks bar, and select Search, Files and folders... Once in “search" window, select the cabin “look for files or folders with the name” and enter the text: *.NDX and in the " Search in: “cabin select” local Hard disks (C: …) ". Then do click in “Searching now ".

As soon as it stopped realizing the search, choose Edition, Select everything of the bar of tools, eliminate these files pressing the key "suppress" of the keyboard, or by File, Eliminate.

Once finished the elimination of these files, execute Audys again.

First, the technician of your issuer or you itself if it is qualified, has to add an additional rigid disc to your PC.

Secondly, as soon as the disc has been detected correctly by Windows, you will have to form inside Audys the new volume, to realize this step enter to Configuration, Volumes press in Adding. Assign a name to the volume, for example: Air*2, and select the unit of disc that corresponds to it.

Inicio

Verify that the name of the volume in which they are (to see in the title properties) coincides with the formed one (You can see the formed volumes in the menu Configuration, Volumes).

Verify the title properties is not out of the ranges of validity to be able to reproduce the title (See in the title properties start and end date).

Verify that the system is capable of reproducing this quality of audio.

Verify that the physical file is the corresponding to the title that you are trying to reproduce. For it take note of the code and go to the folder \Audys\Audio of the volume that appears in the card of the title and look for the audio file in the title of the volume that contains it. Then as supervisor go to the menu Configuration -> Volumes and selecting the volume in question obtain the location of it.

Now simply you will have to go to the above mentioned location, to look for the \Audys\Audio folder and to look for the code of the title among the names of the files that the folder contains (the files will have the extension according to the format in which they were imported).

Inicio

Verify that the system could record in the quality of the selected category. For it, the soundcard must support this quality, or, the system must have a codec that allows to emulate the compression using the CPU (ACM codec that allows to record in the above mentioned quality).

Inicio

Verify if you have formed the correct reproduction device from the audio properties of the window (every window has its button configuration and there you will find properties option).

If this does not solve the problem, verify that the title that is going to be reproduce contains audio, look for the file in the volume that contains it (the name of the audio file begins with the code that possesses the title).

Finally try installing again the drivers for the soundcard (an updated version for your operative system, if it is possible) or save the title with an audio supported quality and import it again checking the integrity with audio editor before.

Inicio

There is necessary a codec which supports this format, as the QDesign, which you must pay for it.

Verify that the quality of the category is the correct one (MPEG).

Inicio

There is necessary a codec which supports this format, as the Fraunhofer, which you must pay for it, or the LAME, which is free.

Verify that the quality of the category is the correct one (Layer 3).

Audys considers the levels indicated in the VU to realize the fret. If the VU do not work, the fret will not be realized like corresponds. Change of drivers the audiocard, and verify that in the Control of Volume (in the mixer) you could see the VU for the recording.

Inicio

Verify that the window where you are trying to record is a sound card formed as reproduction device and the other one as recording device.

Inicio

The steps to continuing are: open the Audys and do click with the left button of the mouse in Audys's logo that is in the top straight part of the screen.

Do click in the button that says User's Code. Copy in a paper the current code, touch the button “Cancel” and then “Agree”. Communicate with Hardata Administration’s number for requesting the new code.

Once obtained the new code do click again in Audys's logo that is in the top straight part of the screen.

Touch the button that says User's Code and enter the User's new code in the pigeonhole that says “Type here the User’s new code ". Do click in Agree, and again in Agree.

Inicio

You must execute Audys with parameter-k. This is possible adding it in your direct access, or executing the line:

“C:\Program files\Hardata\Audys\Bin\Audys.exe "-k (notice that '-k ' is out of the inverted commas). Then communicate with your product supplier, and indicate the code that appears on screen to him and request him the user's new code. If the direct access was modified, you have to eliminate this parameter of it.

Note: The route where the Audys's feasible is can differ with the one that here figures in agreement to the unit and to the folder in which you installed the product and to the language of the operative system.

To locate the HTH commands you must create a category called HTH Commands that will be of the "Commands" type. The code of the titles is not important. Only it is necessary to respect the description of the commands as it is indicated:

The Command Hour will be called: HOUR
The Command Temperature: TEMPERATURE
And the Command HUMIDITY: HUMIDITY.

Inicio

To use these commands go to the Titles window, open the category created under the name HTH Commands and choose the command that you want to use (HOUR, TEMPERATURE or HUMIDITY) drag it and drop before or after any audio inside Air 1 or Air 2 of the radio that is in use, or in Pgm Air's window 1 or Pgm Air 2.

Inicio

The "Commands" are instructions that can be inserted inside the programming of the Air1’s window and that indicate Audys that has to “do something ". For example there are commands to emit the Hour, Temperature and HUMIDITY, commands to start the automatic way or to modify it, commands that select musical formats, etc.

From Audys's point of view, the commands are assigned titles to a category of "Commands" type with a determined description. This description is the one that identifies each command. When Audys finds in the programming a command title type, it compares the description of that one with an internal table that indicates what to do. That is why is so important to respect the description of the command as to be indicated in the present manual.

Inicio

To create a Command the steps are: Open a Production window.

Select a category of command type. If it does not exist, create it selecting "Categories" in the Production window of the Menu.

Press the button "Rec". Immediately Audys will create a title and will open its edition card In the command’s card press the button "Edit". Go to "Description" and enter the definition of the command that you want to incorporate into the system (for example type TEMPERATURE to create the command that allows to insert the emission of the temperature in automatic form inside the Air programming).

Audys Commands

Command Description Detail

HTH

HOUR

Transmits automatically the current time.

TEMPERATURE

Transmits automatically the current temperature.

THERMAL SENSATION Transmits automatically the current temperature feels like.

HUMIDITY

Transmits automatically the current humidity.

Automatic Transmission

AUTO AIRE2

Starts the execution of AIRE2 automatic mode

AUTO AIRE2+FADE

Starts the execution of AIRE2 automatic mode + fade

AUTO AUX

Starts the execution of Auxiliary Input automatic mode

AUTO SAT+TONOS

Starts the execution of SATELITE + PITCH automatic mode

AUTO SAT+RS232

Starts the execution of SATELITE + RS232 automatic mode

SUSPEND

Converts the system to AIRE2 automatic mode; then, suspends the broadcasting until the following commercial scheduled in AIRE1

FMT xxxx

Selects the new format that Aire2's programming will follow since its execution begins. (where xxxx is the format's name to use ) Use block capitals for the format's name.

Satellite Command

PLAY LOCAL

Inserted in a Head Station's AIRE window gives instructions to remote broadcast stations to finalize the satellite transmission and return to the local broadcasting.

STOP LOCAL

Inserted in a Head Station's AIRE window gives instructions to remote broadcast stations to finalize the local broadcasting and return to the satellite transmission.

SYNC

Inserted in a Head Station's AIRE window gives instructions to remote broadcast stations to synchronize the clocks and dates with the head computer.

Note for SUSPEND case: The Above mentioned command is placed in the programming of Aire1 together with the advertising Blocks. According to the hour, when this command is read it suspends the Air2’s reproduction, in automatic way. Up to coming to the schedule of the following block, this one will reproduce and continue with Air2, like it does it habitually.

Note for FMT case: The Above mentioned command is placed in the programming of Aire1 together with the advertising Blocks. According to the hour when this command is read there is a dynamically updated of Air2’s window depending on the Name "XXX" of the format realized previously. On the following day it is necessary to define (by the same command) what format is wished, otherwise will stay the last definite format.

Inicio

Manual’s programming creation

To realize a programming you must open a programming window of the issuer (Pgm Aire 1 or Pgm 2 according to the programming that is wanted to do) and then open a window of Titles, selected the server and the categories where the Audio that you want to place in the programming is. Now if you do “drag and drop “the Titles will overturn in the order wished among blocks as correspond. Once realized the programming of the day, for Air1 as for Air2, go to Menu, Save Programming, at this time the programming will remain saved for the day that you chooses or that you write.

If it is wished in the moment of begin a program that has certain similarity with programmings that were previously saved, you will be able to go to Loading Programming, being able to open this way previous programming, modify them and later Save them for future days, and hereby you will avoid realize the whole programming again.

If you realize programmings of this type, when the window of Air corresponding to the realized programming is open, it is loaded automatically.

Aleatory programming creation

Inside this type of programming we have two variants: Aleatory Programming, which one accedes from the window Programming Air2, then go to Menu, aleatory Programming, and you will see that accedes to a window that allows you to use a format made before, to realize an aleatory block of a certain duration. This block is added in the selected position inside the opened programming. You will be able to select Music, in Air2 or commercial breaks in Air1.

This last type is to make easier the Programming Manual, it is necessary save it for load it in Air1’s window in automatic way.

Inicio

Accede inside the window of Air2 Programming, go to Menu, Load Programming, and select the one of day and eliminate it. Remember that this automatic way is only realized if there is no programming for the day.

Go to Menu, Properties, Automatic Programming and accede to a window that allows you to use formats for each day (they can be changed dynamically by hour) and with the same Emission options of that in the previous example.

Inicio

Verify in Configuration / Audio Editors that the editor is correctly formed (that has selected the qualities that its supports and the route is the correct one).

Verify in a Titles or Production’s window, in the menu of Properties / Audio, that the format has a specified editor (this point is important).

In case that is not solved, verify that the audio file is correctly or tries with a different publisher editor and form it again.

In the cases that you need to reinstall the operative system of his your PC or to replace the hard disk, the steps to follow are the next ones: For not to lose the information that you have saved, it is very important that you realize a safety copy of Audys's folders in another location first. Copy the "\Audys" folders in another PC of the net or on another hard disk of the machine (remember that you have an \Audys folder for each formed volume in each unit of your PC).

Do not forget to do a copy in another location of the "Audys.ini" file configuration that is in the folder of the operative system of Windows (generally C:\Windows or C:\Winnt).

As soon as you have a copy on another hard disk of all the Audys folders of your PC (completes with all the files and included subfolders) and of the Audys.ini file that you will use as safety copy of the database, you will be able to install your updated operative system. Once installed, verify if this one working correctly and if it does copy the \Audys folders to their respective locations (example: if we had the C:\Audys folder copy this folder in the same location). Then, copy the "Audys.ini" file to the folder of the Windows operative system.

Now you can install Audys and the software will take automatically the base of information that you were using and the configuration that you were possessing.

Finally, check the configuration of Audys and of each window. Some configurations, for example the selection of the sound device to using, can have changed from one installation of the operative system to another one. For this reason we suggest you to verify that the configuration of the product and of the properties of every window are the correct ones bearing in mind for it the indications of Audys's help for the configuration of the product.

If on having tried to record in a category appears a message that informs that you need an ACM code means that in Windows you does not have installed a compression codec that allows you to codify the audio in the quality that you have selected when I form the category.

Generally the operative system includes the codecs of recording for some audio qualities as "IMAADPCM" but it does not include codecs neither to record in Mpeg Layer 3 not for Mpeg Layer 2.

Therefore, if you want to record from a "titles or production" window you will have to have installed in your operative system a recording codec which adapts to this quality.

If the category has an Mpeg Layer 2 quality selected you will have to install in your operative system a codec that allows you to record in the above mentioned quality as for example the Qdesign (codec which you must pay for it neither develops does not even distribute Hardata). You will find more information about the Qdesign: www.qdesign.com (there you will find it as Qdesign MPEG ACM).

If the category has an Mpeg Layer 3 quality selected there is a varied quantity of codecs of recording that you can obtain. Among them you will be able to find the Fraunhofer (codec which you must pay for it neither develops does not even distribute Hardata) or the Lame (usually free and downloadable from Internet). For more information about the Fraunhofer you can visit: www.iis.fraunhofer.de/ and for more information about Lame: http: // lame.sourceforge.net/

As soon as you have installed the codec (for the quality of recording that you wish) you will be able to record in the categories that use the above mentioned quality.

Erase the files .NDX of the way explained in the frequent questions (closing before the Audys).

If this did not solve the problem, verify the integrity of your database and that have not moved the information of place or eliminated them. If it is this case and there is a safety copy of the database it should be restored doing before a copy of the database files before replacing them.

Inicio

This one is a problem with the reproduction device selected. Go to the properties menu > audio of the window and select the correct reproduction device. Remember to select the device that corresponds to your soundcard and try to avoid the one that says "Default" determined by the operative system. Every window has its own selected devices.

Besides this you can try to update the drivers of your soundcard, update DirectX for the 8 or superior and the operative system.

In Audys all the information is stored in local form so is not possible to form volumes in other PC or CD-ROM. If you need these functionalities we suggest you to update your product to Dinesat.

Inicio

The titles must be imported in each Audys separately. Audys handles only the local information of the PC and does not relate this to other Audys that could have installed in other PCs.

If you need to relate two terminals using our products (for example: That one playing production and other one Air), we advises you to update Dinesat that allows this type of configuration.

Inicio

Audys does not have satellites functions; that is why we recommend to you to update the product to Dinesat Radio or Hardata hdxRadio.

Inicio

The process to import titles to Audys is the following one:

If you already have the compressed file into a certain format (as for example: mp3, wav, etc ...), Go to the Production’s window and from the menu select “import audio ". Then select the indicated title and one will import this title to the database.

If what you have is an audio CD, you will have to use an external tool that allows you to rip the CD (to extract the audio tracks of the CD to a physical file). After extracting the format, you can edit the same one with an audio editor and compress it to a format that is reproducible in your PC (here the beginning and end silences can be cut, normalize the audio file and other tasks). Hereby already we have a physical file, which one we will be able to select from "importing audio" from the Audys's production window.

The qualities of compression most used are mpeg Layer 3 in 44.1khz 128kbps, 160kbps, 196 kbps, 256kbps. Also Mpeg Layer 2 in 32khz or 44khz. Among other used formats you can find the Imaadpcm or the Ogg vorbis.

If the audio file cannot be reproduce in Audys when it is imported, it is necessary to check that from any other standard reproducing player of Windows could reproduce the same one. It is possible that the file is badly compressed or with a bad quality compression codec; in this case, would be suitable to install other one to replace it.

Inicio

The manual of the product establishes itself with the product and you will be able to accede to it in the button BEGINNING of Windows, menu YOU PROGRAMME, then HARDATA, AUDYS and there you will find the link to the Auyds's Help file that is a descriptive manual of the functionalities of the product that you acquired.

Inicio

The import of the audio titles to Audys does not cut the silences of beginning and end because it only copies the music file to the database and does not compress the audio again.

If it you need to import titles penetrating the silence of beginning and end automatically without needing from an editor, we recommend updating your product to Dinesat that will allow you to import turning to the audio quality selected in the category and penetrating the silences in the beginning and end.
